Make a PaymentHow To Sign Up For iPowerWeb Hosting
Update: Mar 2008 - Although I've left this page online for those who have bookmarked and/or referenced it, I'm now recommending Bluehost instead of iPowerWeb as my preferred hosting provider.
When you sign up with Foxglove Website Designs, one of the first things you'll want to do is choose a domain name and sign up for hosting. I can assist you with the signup process over the phone, or you can follow the instructions below.
NOTE: Foxglove Website Designs does not store your credit card information. If you want to purchase additional domain names or services later, you will have to call again with your billing information.
DO NOT send credit card information by email as it is NOT SECURE!
INSTRUCTIONS:
When you're ready, follow these steps to purchase your hosting and domain service through iPowerWeb:
1. Go to www.ipowerweb.com
2. Click on the "BUY NOW" button on the right hand side of the page.
3. In the box on the following screen, type in yourdomain.com (substitute your chosen domain name). Do not add the "www" in front of it. If this is a new domain, leave the dropdown box on "New". If you already purchased this domain elsewhere, as is the case if your website is being redesigned, select "Transfer". Click Submit.
4. On the following page enter your billing information. You can leave Business Name blank if you are using a personal credit card.
When it asks for your email address, enter the email address you already use, if you have one, or type in account-setup@foxglovewebsitedesigns.com. Be sure to enter this correctly, it is where the account setup emails go. If you enter your own email address, you must forward the Account Setup email to me when you receive it.
5. At the bottom of the page it asks you to select a package. Choose the 12 month plan for $7.95 per month. The 12 month plan includes free setup and the domain name is free for as long as you keep your hosting at iPower.
6. Choose a password you can remember. We'll need it to access the control panel.
7. Click "Purchase." You should see a confirmation page. A confirmation email will also be sent to the email address you entered in Step 4. If you used the Foxglove email address, I will forward the confirmation to you for your records. Your credit card will be billed for $95.40.
8. Last, send me the password you entered so we can start setting up your email accounts, etc. It takes 24 hours or less for your iPowerWeb account to become active and 2-3 days for your domain name to become accessible.
